GENERAL
Sebastian Schnurre primarily focuses on general Energy Law and on the regulatory aspects of smart metering, calibration, storage and charging infrastructure. He has extensive experience with companies operating in the field of smart metering, electric mobility and the deployment of flexibility. He thereby concentrates on contract-related issues, the assessment of the admissibility of smart metering concepts as well as the consideration of the standard business processes and market rules. His emphasis is on finding efficient, legally certain, highly scalable solutions with low transaction costs.

STUDIES
Law studies at the Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg and the Universidad de Salamanca. First State exam with honours and Law Degree as European Lawyer (Univ. Würzburg). Legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Brandenburg and Second State exam in Berlin.

WORK EXPERIENCES
Activities as Office Manager of the Vice Chairman of the Committee on the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety in the German Bundestag.
Manager Flexibility and Digital Affairs at the Association of Energy Market Innovators (Bundesverband Neue Energiewirtschaft - bne)

ACTIVITIES & MEMBERSHIPS
Member, inter alia, of the Committee 461 ("electricity meters”) of the German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies, the working group IKT of the National Electric Mobility Platform and the working group “Smart Meters and Smart Grids” of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. Coordination and management of the stakeholder process “Demand Response”. Member of the Task Force Load Management of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
