GENERAL
Carolin König advises on general energy law with a special focus on legal issues regarding the granting of concessions for heat supply and the operation of electricity and gas networks. She also works on energy litigation, representing companies in state courts and arbitration tribunals in matters of energy law and energy-related issues. A personal focus of Ms. König lies in the field of public international law and climate policy aspects of energy law.

STUDIES
Law studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. Currently doctoral studies under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bardo Fassbender LL.M. (Yale) on the international status of small island states whose territories are threatened by climate change-induced rising sea levels. Doctoral scholarship through a scholarship foundation. Legal traineeship at the OLG Munich.

WORK EXPERIENCES
Activities in the Federal Foreign Office (Department of Transport and Tourism), as legal advisor to the Permanent Mission of the Maldives to the United Nations, as well as in various law firms in telecommunications and asylum law. Researcher at the Institute for International Law with special emphasis on international human rights protection at the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich.
